The product range extends from plant engineering for entire assembly lines through the manufacture of complete bodies to volume production. thyssenkrupp Automotive Body Solutions supplies mainly premium OEM customers such as Porsche, Mercedes AMG, Audi, Aston Martin, Bentley and Tesla. The plant engineering business with its 1,000 employees is based in Wadern-Lockweiler in the Saarland, while the volume production business is located in and around Heilbronn. In total, the company employs 2,300 people at 6 locations worldwide. The company's “model plant” is located in Mühlacker and includes the following data: 40,000 square meters in size, 268 robots, 3-shift operation with 240 employees. There is an engineering center in Fulda, in Pune (India) and in Sibiu (Romania), a service/engineering unit in Russia as well as in China. There is also a sales office in the USA and the UK. As part of the growth strategy, the position of HR Business Manager was successfully filled in mid-2022 to strengthen the HR Business Management team for the Heilbronn site.

With Ms. Patricia Käppel (M.A.) we were able to gain an experienced HR lady from the aviation industry of Recaro Aircraft Seating, who started her professional career in the automotive industry at Schaeffler. In addition to her positive and committed nature, Ms. Käppel convinced us with her technical expertise as HR Manager in the areas of personnel development and change management as well as HR Business Partner. With her drive and expertise, Ms. Käppel, who has a degree in education, will be a valuable addition to the HR team at thyssenkrupp Automotive Body Solutions and will actively drive forward the company's growth strategy and operations.
